It's beginning to look a lot like...

FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!

Here in Buckeye Country Football Season started last Saturday. Our beloved Buckeyes have taken the field, and the season has started.
With Football Season comes a change in decor!! It's easy to decorate for a sport. Just show your team colors!! Just like the inch worm here.

These little guys were added to the Scarlet and Gray collection last year. I just love them. The big guy did have a buckeye around his neck but I think a squirrel stole it from him last year. I'll have to pick another from the Buckeye Tree and stick back on his necklace.

Yes, we have a Buckeye Tree.

New this year is a wreath for our front door. I struggle every year to find a 'not so tacky' scarlet and gray wreath. This year I think I have succeeded. I used the same idea as this wreath, and TA-DA!! I LOVE IT!

Also new this year is this GINORMOUS OSU Flag for the garage.

And of course, no garden is complete with out a Garden Gnome. This one just happens to be a Buckeye fan as well! And that garden flag we have had since the first year Hubby and I were married. It's looking a little bad but it's bad luck to change a flag in the middle of the season (or something like that) so it will be retired at the end of the season. Which hopefully (although doubtful) will last until January. On to the inside....
This little guy has decided to spend Football Season on my end table.

See the football decor here?
Need a closer look? The football is taking a break until next Saturday in my Scarlet and Gray Longaberger Basket.
And these are the Cat's Meow of the Buckeye Decor (HAHAHA, Get it?)
We have 5 doors leading into our kitchen and the Buckeye Cat's Meow sits on 3 of them. These guys are out year 'round.

Do you decorate for football season?

Sneak Peek

So M2's Birthday Party is tomorrow (sniffle, sniffle). It's been such a trying year I get teary eyed just thinking of everything that poor baby has been through. But there is an end in sight, and tomorrow WE CELEBRATE!!!! So I thought I would give you a little sneak peek!

I just made this wreath last night...Can you tell what it's made from???

M2's bedroom is 'Rocket Baby', so this 'theme' kinda ties into that.
Some paper floofs for decoration....An almost, but not, quite finished quilt... (it WILL be finished)
And a throw back to MY childhood....
That's it for now, please think of me tomorrow as I am BAWLING my way through my BABY's Birthday!!! (and let's HOPE that the In Laws, keep the drama to a minimum!!))

Ohhh, Ahhhh

Ok, I know I already posted my front door here. But these pictures are better. I JUST CAN'T GET OVER HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS WREATH!! Every night when I pull into the driveway this wreath makes me smile!!

I know you are thinking those two ADORABLE little boys that meet me at the door screaming MOMMY should be making me smile....

... but I see the wreath first!

Decorating

No, not for Christmas (I'm ready to take that down!) just normal house decorating. We've lived in this house for about 10 months, but we've had a tough year and are doing things a little at a time.

So here is my kitchen table 'nook' before...
And here it is after...

Front Door before...

And after...

And then I really decided to start taking down Christmas decorations and started with the Christmas Wreath.

Here's the 'January' Wreath. I made it, isn't it GREAT!?!?!? I LOVE IT!!

I had to add my Michael's 70% off find.. I love my Blue Bird.

Oh it's just PERFECT, I JUST CAN'T STAND HOW GREAT THIS LOOKS!!

And since it was 55 degrees out Hubby and M1 went ahead and took down the outside Christmas Lights.

Look what I did........Part 2

I made a wreath for my mom too. She's not crafty, at all. I'm not even sure if she could plug in a glue gun (she doesn't have one, she would have to try to plug in mine.) Needless to say she keeps me busy. Every flower arrangement/wreath/swag in her house was made by yours truly. And there are a lot.

This happens a lot. I make something new and I hear "I want one" in the same voice my whiney 3 year old makes during a tantrum. So before I could hear the magic words I made her one. And she loves it!!

I am such a good daughter!! (Except for that whiney voice comment, ignore that part.)

Look what I did........

Ok, So It's no secret that I love crafts. Anything that requires the use of a glue gun, a sewing machine, ribbon or embellishments of any kind is for me. I could spend hours drooling at the craft store. I buy things that I don’t even know what to do with. I have a craft room. It is my favorite place in the world. I could spend weeks in there and never emerge. I love crafts.

So when I saw the Black ‘Christmas’ Wreath at the craft store my brain went into overdrive. I drove slightly over the speed limit to get home and plug in my glue gun. 10 minutes later and this was hanging on our front door. The picture doesn’t really do it justice. There are little purple and green and black ornaments on it that you can’t really see.

I love crafts.
