Pumpkin Dinner...

We had Pumpkin for dinner last night. Well sort of....

I made this in the Wilton Jack O Lantern Cake Pan, isn't it cute??? I love dinners like this, not only is it pretty easy to clean up (basically only 1 pan) it's fun too!!

Here's what you'll need:
4 boxes corn bread mix - and ingredients per box to make the mix
1 1/2 pds. ground beef
16oz jar of salsa (I had an open jar in the fridge too, so I used about 1 1/2 jars)
7 oz can of corn (drained)
peppers and onions chopped
2 cups of shredded cheese

Spray non stick spray in cake pan (Wilton Jack O Lantern Cake Pan). Mix 2 boxes of corn bread mix and fill bottom of cake pan.

Brown ground beef and drain. Add ground beef, salsa, corn, peppers and onions back in pan, stir and heat for 5 mins. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.

Spoon mixture into cake pan leaving space along sides of pan. Mix remaining two boxes of cornbread. Add cornbread mix around sides and on top of cake pan. Bake 20-25 mins. at 400 degrees. Remove and let cool for 10mins. Flip onto large serving platter. (Sorry I didn't have a Halloween platter! As Hubby pointed out I used our July 4th platter)

Decorate!! I used red and green peppers to make the face.

Serve with sour cream. YUMMY!!

This is one of those great recipes that you can change up and use whatever your family eats!!

The Pumpkin Patch

I love fall, it means it's time for the annual Pumpkin Patch visit!! The pumpkin patch that we go to has the best donuts ever!!

We usually go and spend the a couple hours there. Getting pictures taken, going to the petting zoo, playing in the hay barn, picking out pumpkins, taking a hay ride, and of course eating donuts!!!

This was M2's first trip to the pumpkin patch. I think he enjoyed it, at least he enjoyed eating the hay. M1 has always had a good time at the pumpkin patch. He loves the hay slides and tractor rides.

Aren't my little skeleton's cute!?!?!?

Tag Quilt

This is my Halloween Tag Quilt. I made this one for M2, I made one for Baby L too, but I need to get a picture of hers. But you get the idea. The babies LOVE them. They pick at the tags all day. They are so cute with them. I am so glad they like them.
This one was made with 10x10 100% cotton fabric squares and random ribbon!!
Of course I will have to come up with a Christmas one as well!! I might have to add this idea to my list of crafts for the craft show.

What do you think?

Look what I did........Part 2

I made a wreath for my mom too. She's not crafty, at all. I'm not even sure if she could plug in a glue gun (she doesn't have one, she would have to try to plug in mine.) Needless to say she keeps me busy. Every flower arrangement/wreath/swag in her house was made by yours truly. And there are a lot.

This happens a lot. I make something new and I hear "I want one" in the same voice my whiney 3 year old makes during a tantrum. So before I could hear the magic words I made her one. And she loves it!!

I am such a good daughter!! (Except for that whiney voice comment, ignore that part.)

Look what I did........

Ok, So It's no secret that I love crafts. Anything that requires the use of a glue gun, a sewing machine, ribbon or embellishments of any kind is for me. I could spend hours drooling at the craft store. I buy things that I don’t even know what to do with. I have a craft room. It is my favorite place in the world. I could spend weeks in there and never emerge. I love crafts.

So when I saw the Black ‘Christmas’ Wreath at the craft store my brain went into overdrive. I drove slightly over the speed limit to get home and plug in my glue gun. 10 minutes later and this was hanging on our front door. The picture doesn’t really do it justice. There are little purple and green and black ornaments on it that you can’t really see.

I love crafts.

New to This

I'm new around here; really I don't have a freaking clue what I'm doing. I'm not really that funny, and I don't really have an interesting life but everyone else does, so I started a blog so I could read other people's blogs. Does that make sense?

Plus, I need new friends!!

Anyway today I found the SITS site. I'm not even sure I completely understand it all, but I'm going to try it!! I put the logo/code thingy somewhere on this page. Is it right? Did I do it right? Hope so......This stuff sure seems interesting, and entertaining.

We got Boo-ed

Do you know what getting Boo-ed is? Who ever thought of such a cute idea.

We came home from the football game (Go Bucks!!) Saturday night and had an orange basket of Halloween goodies on our front step!! With a note, we got Boo-ed. Now Boo two other houses. I love stuff like this. I went into full on Boo Basket mode!! I had the Boo Gram note and sign made by 8am on Sunday. Shopping for the baskets were done shortly after lunch time, they were assembled and adorned with ribbon (oh, how I love ribbon) by dinner time. My Boo Baskets rocked. I would like to have received my Boo Basket. I live for this kind of stuff.

As the directions stated we went to deliver our Boo's last nite, anonymously. I took M1. He giggles. A lot. Very loudly. There goes anonymously. We went under the cover of darkness... and got busted. We were seen as we ran down the driveway and into the night. Sorry, white house with red car, I tried to be anonymous. Guess that's what I get for taking a 3 year old giggler with me!! Hope you like your Boo Basket. Happy Halloween.

Pumpkins (I copied)

I was wasting time on the internet and came across these really cute pumpkins. I'm not sure how I stumbled on to this blog , but the pumpkins were so cute I copied them.
We put our Halloween decorations up/out on Saturday and these went directly to the front porch! Right next to the scarescrow! (M1's word)
